Schiff also serves as the Senior Managing Principal for Advanced Planning Group, where he leads a team of private wealth experts who develop custom financial solutions for high-net-worth clients globally.

Prior to founding Advanced Planning Group in 2007, Schiff was a founder of CEG Worldwide, a performance-coaching firm serving the high end financial advisor, based in New York and Silicon Valley. Schiff has also developed custom education programs for high profile financial firms such as Charles Schwab, Fidelity, E-Trade, TheStreet.com, ThomsonReuters and Intuit. Schiff was the founding editor of Worth Online, the electronic version of Worth magazine, which launched in 1996.

In 2001, he co-wrote the book, The Armchair Millionaire: How to Build an Extraordinary Portfolio on an Ordinary Income (Simon and Schuster). Along with the publication of the book, Schiff was the Creator and Executive Producer of ArmchairMillionaire.com (co-developed by Intuit and iVillage) -- maintained a real money portfolio on the site. Schiff sold The Armchair Millionaire to iVillage.com which subsequently went public and made history as the sixth highest NASDAQ IPO before being bought by NBC Universal in 2006.

In 2006, Schiff published The A to Z Money Book, his collected columns originally published on CNNMoney.com during the years 2002-2004.
